Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God to repent of our sin and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and having been publicly baptized as a declaration of our faith and obedience to God; we enter into this covenant by God’s grace with one another as one body in Christ.
 
I promise to strive toward holiness in all areas of life as an act of worship to Jesus Christ.  I will choose to put sinful attitudes and actions to death while stirring and stimulating love and good deeds through the Spirit by faith. I will refrain from activities that dishonor our Lord and take seriously the responsibility of Christian freedom, especially actions or situations that could present a stumbling block to others.
 
We promise to support this local church body.  We will observe the ordinances of baptism and communion and sustain the faithful teaching and preaching of God’s Word.  We will worship through regular church attendance, use our talents to bless one another, and contribute regularly to the support of the ministry.  We promise to be faithful in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior by spreading the gospel at home and in all the world.  
 
We further promise to walk together in Christian love.  We will give and receive admonition with humility, remember each other in prayer, aid each other in sickness and distress, be slow to take offense, and quick to reconcile. 
 
If I, as a member of this body decide to leave, I faithfully promise to do so in the spirit of this covenant and diligently seek the unity and peace of Grace Baptist Church. ​
