Here’s one of the most crucial statements Jesus said about children. He said, “Allow them to come unto Me.“ When we as parents would never discourage our children from coming to Jesus, or from coming to a place of worship to learn more about Jesus-is it not sad that we have to address child safety within the church?Of course, that should just be a given. If any place should be safe, it should be God’s church. But the very unfortunate truth is that evil things happen absolutely everywhere in our world. Here at Grace Baptist Church, we have a track record of being particularly careful when it comes to our kids. It’s truly sad in the day we live that we have to address the protecting of our children against the pervasiveness as well as the prevalence of the evil committed against children within our culture. But it is of utmost importance that we do so.
All children's workers are mandated to complete a children's workers application in which they are required to report any past history related to child abuse investigation, civil lawsuit involving sexual misconduct, and accusal of any crime relating to sexual abuse. Every children's worker is required to undergo a criminal background check. It is our desire to set safeguards in place that would keep the most vulnerable among us as safe as they can be.We understand that your children are your greatest treasure. We feel the same way about ours. We truly desire to keep them safe as they attend the services and functions of Grace Baptist Church. Below you will find a PDF file of our formal Child Protection Policy.Let’s work together to protect the most precious thing God has entrusted us with- our children.
