kids' church on
sunday morning is currently cancelled.

Kids' Church (also called Junior Church or Children's Church) is often looked at as Nursery 2.0.  An advanced stage of babysitting to get kids out of your hair so that you can pay attention to the sermon.  However, that isn't the way we look at it.  Kid's Church is an amazing opportunity to prepare the kids in Kindergarten through 4th Grade to be able to sit in big church.  Everything that we do in Kid's Church is supposed to revolve around that theme.

Your children will be with you during the song service because we believe children need every opportunity to lift their voices in worship to the King of kings.  This gives them the opportunity to see their parents worshipping through song, prayer, and giving.

On every fifth Sunday, we don't have Kid's Church.  This is to help the kids to understand that they won't always be downstairs during the preaching but instead will grow up and sit under the preaching of the Word.  This is also designed to inflame their hearts for deeper teaching in the Word of God.  Our Kid's Church curriculum is aimed at K-2nd grade.  By the time they get to 4th grade, we want them to be bored with Kid's Church and desiring the next step: "Big Church" with the teens and adults.

GBC Kid's Church uses Answers Bible Curriculum (published by Answers in Genesis) to "equip our kids to defend the Bible, and become conformed to the image of Christ as they apply God’s Word in their everyday lives."   You can find out more about ABC Curriculum by visiting www.answersingenesis.org/abc.
